Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream introduced Everything bagel ice cream and the internet was ecstatic at the marriage of two great flavor icons. It's hard to get our hands on a pint, so we created our own version. A creamy cream cheese ice cream is filled with bagel sprinkles for a salty, sweet, and totally bagel flavor.
This ice cream is definitely a taste test, but it's a lot of fun to make and a wild treat to eat any time of the day, even for breakfast. The recipe sounds complicated, but it's actually just four ingredients for the crumble and three for the ice cream.
Because this is a no-cutter recipe, it's easy to mix and you don't need any special equipment. All you need is a freezer, a loaf pan and some time to set up. You can find everything you need to know about bagel seasoning at Trader Joe's and Costco, or you can make your own.
You can eat this ice cream on its own, in a cone, or top it with smoked salmon and capers for a true bagel experience.
